Ps4 curiosity cause they announced coming out?


actually, ps3s made after august of 2008 can't play ps2 games. includes current slim , super-slim models.

sony made vague announcement ps4 able "stream" ps3, ps2 , ps1 games using technology purchased gaikai, didn't give many details. instance, need buy these games, or can insert disc validate should allowed play?

backwards compatibility means being able play games older consoles. can accomplished in few different ways. ps2 can play ps1 games because there's ps1 processor inside ps2. xbox 360 can play old original xbox games because has special application, called emulator, inside that allows xbox 360 pretend it's old xbox.

ps4 have neither of these, not backwards compatible.

so, ps3 played ps2 games, ps2 played ps1 games question asking ps4 play ps3 games. please answer me , don't backwards compatible because don't know hell means. :)
