in order become professional ballet dancer, first need born in 2% of population has body, facility , musicality ballet career. no amount of training or how young start can change things. way more being right height , weight. need right bone , muscle structure. thin toothpick , not have ballet body. need born right feet, natural turnout, achilles tendons length, limb torso ratio , few other things go making nice line in ballet. next need right training starting @ young enough age. dancers age on track ballet career train in schools rbs screened being in 2%.they take 20-30 hours of ballet classes week year round not 1 class week. if born in 2% , wanted right training, need @ level of training expected dancer age. @ 14, en pointe 7 years of strong ballet technique training behind them. ballet dance careers start young , on quickly. many of dancers in 2% , right training age never reach professional ranks. there few jobs. rare female dancer born extraordinary gifts ballet , starts @ age 13, has happened handful of times on past 50-60 years, starts training intensely in professional schools right away. while men can , start later, there no female professional ballet dancers has started serious training @ age 14. 1 thing, right training not made available them @ age if born gifts required. recreational dance teachers don't have right training pass on students ballet career. men can start later have different requirements ballet career , don't dance en pointe.
