Fair Labor Law-Employer Confused?
me:
exempt employee in texas (not matters when comes fair labor law). employer has both exempt , non-exempt employees working out of same office. employer not give of employees sick days give workers (exempt , non-exempt) 2 weeks of paid vacation. whenever employee sick , misses work, must use vacation day if want paid--i know legal.
question:
have been pushing boss give salaried (exempt) employees @ least 5 sick days can use (since of salaried guys work 50 hours week , don't see compensation overtime). excuse not giving exempt employees sick days because believes if gives sick days exempt employees, he, law, must give sick days non-exempt employees in order not discriminate.
correct??? against law give sick days exempt employees not non-exempt employees?? not find in fair labor law support thought process.
