rapture of lost
daniel mapp

under lady night's dripping waste,
hug inching of rippling scarlet,
versing upon stemmed circulet,
wisped in boughed place,
before studded worlds' circuit,
after clumsily toughed ivory face,
ended our hope's gentle haste.
