When is it okay to surf by yourself?

have been giving lessons longer age of contributors here. if aren't ready surf on own after couple of lessons guess aren't getting instruction. once know basics of how stand , waves for, need practice, not more lessons. can catch whitewater waves after 1 lesson. then, once comfortable those, plus you/ve learned surf etiquette means, it's time go out on own. stay out of more experienced surfers way.

ive taken 1 surf lesson before , in college next quarter plan on doing series of 4 lessons in class. on summer going week long day camp. when okay go on own dont have keeep paying money? surf?
