A double salchow jump is one and a half rotations?


it's technically 1 , half. if watch video of doing successful double (or single or triple) salchow, see don't leave ice until facing forward.
it's called double because makes more sense call that. wouldn't want "i landed single , half salchow!" it's easier , fits better system call double.

is true? if so, why called double if 1 , half? should called axel 3 turn! have been tyring 2 rotations! because thought 2 rotations! so, 2 or 1 , half?
