dream ride

triple beat, triple beat, triple beat, here
comes galloping horse across dreams;
hoofbeats heartbeats, thumping in fear
of waking find all's still seems.

rode horse once, terror steep,
yet thrilling riding biggest wave;
death rode me in sleep:
brother of life, dance round grave.

have faith, mad dreamer, end soon,
pale horse rears closer, deafening scream
wake , bring facing moon:
take comfort, soul, ride's dream.
