ideation

lifts eagle gliding high
without revealing source—
pushes stars across sky
, keeps moon upon course?

ship adrift without sail,
chain links not quite attached.
onrushing train without rail,
insistent itch goes unscratched.

when orphan thoughts invade mind,
urchins garbed in ragged dress,
leave feather touch behind—
breath none alive possess.

compelled forces quite unseen
there's no escaping need write—
if there hidden gene
applying covert might.

rowdy crowd inside head
presents in altered view—
1 golden flake pound of lead,
in bolder cloak fresh , new.
