Is my cockatiel depressed?

husband , clipped our 2 year old cockatiel's wings 3 days ago. adopted him 6 months ago don't know how treated before or if he's been clipped before. doesn't hands come fly , sit on head or shoulders or next long didn't try touch him. comfortable , friends long wasn't touched. starting fly around everywhere in house decided safer him clip wings. know traumatized since had hold him clip him knew he'd more comfortable stranger.

now, doesn't tweet or chirp anymore. hangs around cage. when husband picks him , brings him us, kinda tries himself, closes eyes , think pretends we're not there or something. when close cage he'll open mouth wide , little hiss(that's him literally attacking). eating habits have not changed. he's not plucking out feathers or anything.

feel guilty because i'm 1 had clip him , know he's mad @ me. wanna know if he'll on , in meantime him more comfortable not being able freely fly around , having more dependent on us.
