Is playing acoustic guitar the same as electric guitar?

can play further neck on electric.they more
sensitive acoustic.strings thinner , more smooth.the
bodies smaller , slide around on you're lap if sit down
, play do.so ,same concept totally different feel , sound.
find acoustic easier use fingers instead of pick ,
electrics small me.or im big electric more
case.when make mistake on electric sounds
woeful.

i've been wanting learn play electric guitar, cannot afford buy one. mom has acoustic guitar though. needs re-stringed if learned play acoustic, learning way play electric? or different?
