Is it better to take an AP exam you don't think you'll pass or skip it all together?

price ap exams went 90 bucks year, , though that's way more want spend, it's still lot cheaper college classes. however, know there's pretty super giant humongous chance not pass chemistry one. worse college take anyway , fail or opt out of taking it? mean, doesn't indicate science sign in college, right?
