Any good war board games?
if chess should try go. it's little more abstract, chess rules simple , gameplay complex-- higher degree chess!
pros: no luck involved
great two-players
large board allows lot of variability
easy rules, complex play
cons: not "war-themed," if that's you're looking
sharp learning curve @ first; want read strategy sometime in first few games. recommend online tutorial "the interactive way go"
can long because board large, many players around playing on smaller part of board if want shorter game.
favorite wargame diplomacy. there lot of strategy, it's not pure strategy. involves lot of negotiation. tell people it's equal parts strategy, tactics, negotiation, , psychology.

unique! never have played game relies on human nature , playing styles of different people
moves simultaneously, more realistic actual war
cons: takes hours play
rules little confusing @ first
requires 7 players play
emotions can run high; don't play if or friends take things personally!
i love strategy games , i'm looking new 1 play. chess , stratego games awesome
