in eyes of somber day
there lays slept friend-
nightmare done of fire stay
hath kept soul awakened.

oh! how restless wake @ dusk
minds lost
in wonders among them in such lust
burned overwhelming exhaust?

quiet sleep - quiet sleep,
behind night dreaming,
hath left me looking white sheep
undead rest breathing.
