Why we use AC supply,not DC in domestic uses?

did know dc generator ac generator has more specs brushes/rectifier convert ac dc. this, use ac on dc because:
1. less expensive (because of less parts used)
2. less maintenance

meanwhile, aside dc generator, use dc batteries dc supply. however:
1. requires charged
2. dc batteries more bulky @ home unlike ac supply can drawn our ac sockets
3. subject wear , tear when used frequently.
4. more expensive because able charge dc batteries must use ac. why not directly use ac instead of dc.

careful not use dc supply on ac powered equipments damage appliance

why use ac,not dc?? what'll happen if use dc istead of ac tv,refrigerator,bulb etc..??
