Can you teach yourself to dance at home?

cannot teach ballet @ home. reasons twofold. first, need sprung or floating floor or injured if put in time this. dancing on floor no "give" results in chronic achilles tendinitis ballet dancers, joint damage, shin splints , possible stress fractures. place find floor in dance studio. cost of putting in floor in home costs way more taking ballet class every day, 6 days week @ studio. need room high enough ceilings shortens height of room. second, ballet perfection of movement. need teacher's eyes , hands on correction. learning engage , hold turnout while in proper alignment (the basis of ballet training) hard enough correctly teacher right there correcting time. on own, incorrectly. don't copy foot , arm positions , have it. have use right muscles there. if don't, not build poor habits hard break if ever take classes, injured. youtube tutorial cannot give corrections cannot see or feel touching you, doing wrong , tell how fix it.
know next nothing breakdancing, feel better qualified should address part of question. however, breakdancing not taught in studios , street dance, imagine might possible. however, said have no first hand knowledge that.
