How can I paint a smooth sky in oil paint?


soft brushes , thin paint. apply paint in layers (glazes). use mongoose or sable fan brushes. start paint mixed mineral spirits mix subsequent layers walnut alkyd medium or of various mediums such liquin or galkyd. many stand oil stand oil takes long time dry. need more patient method, letting glaze dry before applying one.

i notice when paint skies not smooth seem rough. brush marks in sky. there way paint smooth texture without noticable brush strokes.
