2008 2.0 gt sport tdi golf, what is the horsepower and can I get it chipped?


have driven 140 bhp passats , 130 bhp seat ibizas. took opportunity drive ibiza 160 bhp cupra , disappointed. trust me, car pretty agile , "extra bhp" not transform car greatly. maybe 500 600 rpm performance figures not radical , if can reach 140 mph get.your in gear acceleration , flexibility enhanced again "its @ top end" , not particularly useable power. question, imagine pulling 5000 rpm in fifth gear speed doing ? unless on autobahn well above ton , looking @ losing licence.
however, script.my old ibiza fr 130 fitted 1 of these gadgets (£250 worth) supposed give me 163 bhp. shaved 5 off mpg stated power @ top end, gadget lies in box in cupboard , has been there 6 years !

i'm thinking it'll 140bhp @ moment, possible go 170?
