jonathon toews awarded 6 minutes in penalties. didn't see it, toews gently pushed thornton cross check, , massive thornton went down. toews understandably upset obvious embellishment, , dropped gloves , went @ thornton. since had shield, had been given instigator have had 4 minutes in penalties plus original 2 minute minor.

think right? rather having build , possibly turn ugly situation, toews solved man , dropped gloves. why nhl want punish that?
