How do you know how I am doing at my new engineer job? I really need a raise now?

graduated bsme 8 months ago. got job in lighting fixture company (they buy them china , sell them in usa). company in los angeles. when got hired told engineering intern. been 8 months now. still engineering intern. have not got raise. pay low engineers. people tell me how come make less money after getting bsme school.
@ job, sit , boss give me small tasks. like, call vendor buy nuts , bolts our technicians, (we assemble too), color temp measurements of fixtures, make labels on computer, update spec sheets, etc of time sitting doing nothing.
question how can show them should paid more.
