When would it be too late to skate?


friend take skating, , she's 12 years old.
used skate when 8 quit when 10.
can crossovers, swivels, , of basic forward moves, , can little bit of backwards skating, along basic spinning in circle.
she's not planning olympic skater; wants enjoy sport , exercise.
late pick skating?
skating world cut throat, , there many wannabe ice skaters out there.
i'm wondering if odd skating bunch of 8 year olds in "alpha" or basic 4 class.
when quit, doing waltz jump, , picks things easily...
please help?
