What would I need if I got a pet Budgie?

i'm warning though budgies 1 of best beginner birds there , simple care for, come many troubles , problems later on, along @ least 10-year commitment. own budgies myself , coming experience. however, proper care , knowledge, budgies entertaining , fun companions have around. have considered problems?

younger owners can't minds past, "having bird fun!" don't think of consequences. of course, think joys outweigh troubles, did think screeches? sure, budgies quieter , apartments, occasionally, scream loudly; , every morning @ around 6:00, wake regardless of day. first month or may seem fun, after 10 whole years, still willing give safe, loving home? can live 15 years, prepared , think future when may busy spend enough time it. need @ least around 4 hours of attention, conversation , interaction day, spare 1-2 hours give them supervised outside playtime keep them healthy , happy. budgies, other domesticated birds, social , adore attention families. if don't it, moody, cranky, , scream. also, have money bird? budgies cheap, never passing $50, cage, toys, food, supplies, etc., first time, cost $200 or so. monthly food, toy, vet bills cost $10-$15. there many more can't list. please research , know as can, , importantly, prepared. these creatures highly intelligent , children even.

if still having troubles convincing parents , need few tips, i'd suggest makes them see responsible enough pet bird. pet birds take lot of devotion, time, commitment, , care. main problems conditions , surroundings, responsibility, or if parents not "pet people". if responsibility thing, volunteer take care of friend or neighbor's pet when on short vacations or trips or that, show responsible have own. if you've tried , still don't agree, have no choice. you're living under roof, fair follow rules.

have other animals, please don't start ignoring or neglecting bird after while because you're busy other pets or think bird getting "boring". if sure can handle it, studied can, , see past, "having bird fun!", should work out.

things you'll need prepare cage. needs enough room bird can stretch wings, fly around bit, play, swing, jump, , free whatever wants lots of space. need toys (bells, balls, ladders, chew toys, etc.) since curious , need entertained frequently. you'll need prepare , trustable avian vet in case happens. prepare $200 too. know , avoid dangers birds (sharp objects, fumes, avocado, chocolate, etc.).
