Is my John Deere trash?

if it's old 1 it's pretty decent tractor. if it's less 15 years old or so, it, along every other lawn tractor built pretty junk. of them don't have metal gears in trans-axle anymore.

i'm not sure when john deere started outsourcing lawn tractor production, but, that's friend meant after market. many lawn tractors built these days built mtd , other companies don't have company brand name going on it.

my friend says john deere 100 trash, said after market 100. how can tell if after markets. , if in after market bad? if ill sell , save cub cadet.
