Where the snow come from?
air can hold amount of moisture. when air cools can't hold much, or when blows on mountain, rises in altitude, becomes less dense , can't hold moisture. forms clouds, made of tiny drops of liquid water have come out of air. if clouds dense enough water droplets join , fall raindrops.
if it's cold, water droplets freeze ice crystals. cirrus clouds, light, feathery type of clouds see on cold days, made of tiny ice crystals. if there's lot of moisture coming out of air, these ice crystals grow large enough fall ground, , that's snow.
