How old do you have to be to work in the state of New York?

can work @ age 14 in new york.
need working papers.
working papers serve official employment certificate.

not work many hours while in school ,
in summer well.

work based on age , whether in or out of school.

age: 14-15

maximum daily work hours:
3 hours on school days
8 hours on non-school days (most saturday & sunday)

maximum weekly work hours: 18 hours

maximum number of days worked per week: 6 days

work times: 7am 7pm


when school not in session :

age: 14-15

maximum daily work hours: 8 hours

maximum weekly work hours: 40 hours

maximum number of days worked per week: 6 days

work times:
7am 9pm (june 21 labor day)
