If we run out of water what happens then? Also, how is that possible?

not 'use up' water on earth. however, possible can use fresh drinkable water in specific area if waste it, pollute it, or if there drought.
possible, although economically costly, filter or evaporate sea water. being done in several places around world (e.g. saudi arabia gets drinking water way).
matter of supply , demand in specific geographical area.

i thought cycle? drink it, pee out, gets chlorinated , filter , drink again type of thing? heard once "you drinking lincoln's bath water" in high school before... like...?? also, why can't filter salt water?
