Oil tanker as makeshift aircraft/helicopter carrier?

actually, during ww2 of transports completed without superstructure , fitted flight deck. able accommodate 6 aircraft , used provide air cover convoys , patrol enemy submarines.

smaller military escort carriers, , landing , taking off on them tricky. bit of gallows humor, pilots called them ensign eliminators.

modern tankers have helicopter pad on deck, rest of deck taken pipe manifolds, there little unobstructed deck.

what guys think idea of mine cheap, makeshift helicopter carriers, maybe stol/vtol fixed wing aircraft used on it, too?
