What is with these new clothes washers that have to have locking lids?


anna e , washers have not had force-locking lids last 20 years. have regular top loading whirlpool clothes washer center post agitator bought in 2003. now, person can't find washers in stores. 2003 not 20 years ago. 10 years ago

shouldn't have suffer burden of customers can't control or monitor kids properly, or sue crazy. , many households don't have children in them.

i don't understand... , locking lids annoying.
