Geforce GT 435m... For a desktop?


hello!
while ago father purchased me geforce gt 435m graphics card desktop, , i, @ moment not knowing computers (now i'm wiz) excited, , went along , installed it. had trouble getting driver support, once did, realized wasn't getting full 2gb preformance. now, year after dad made purchase, realized 435m doesn't exist desktop? can't find anywhere 1 website, selling card. nvidia doesn't see card , thinks notebook graphic. please explain me how on earth possible, because product technically doesn't "exist". card made using 435m , somehow put desktop card? haven't been able unravel final mystery on how can be. thank you.

website selling card dad might have bought from. card didn't come in correct nvidia box, , had entirely different driver it. think zotac (i think is) driver, wouldn't able recognize correct hardware.

card has vga outlet well, card. vga connected nvidia geforce gt 430, ribbon cable.
