work company auto repair. have mandatory store meeting scheduled might nationwide. girlfriends dad purchased tickets sporting event take me , girl, brother , himself on same day. start times hour apart. approached him , told him said needed there. don't wanna go , can't give me off because he's afraid no 1 else show up. 1 coworker said should firm , tell him won't there , tell him there's no disrespect toward him event important me. i'm not sure how handle this. i've never been written or suspended way. should make happen?? don't wanna disappoint dad because extremely nice him this. tickets surprise. don't want on bad terms boss. please help!! faking sick not option.
