What is biasing? (electronics)?


biasing refers offset voltage, applied input of amplifier, turns on amplifier. biasing network voltage divider circuit 2 resistors connected in series between 2 poles of supply center point between resistors connected amplifier input.

in bi-juction transistor amplifier, bias network connected 1 resistor between collector , base , resistor between base , emitter. typical source voltage might 10v 15v, voltage divider applying approximately 2 volts gate turn on transistor , cause conduct. total resistance of bias network restrains current flow through base , emitter levels within operating parameters of transistor prevent overheating.

what biasing or bias meaning in electronics? ive tried reading wikipedia's definition still dont understand it. please provide easy understand explanation , possibly , example? in advance!
