somewhere in wasted town
in old worn house
there lives wise woman
loves bake tasty pastries,
plump, juicy pies, sparkling crusts.
every evening bakes 2 pies
9 whining children
, sets them on porch cool.
1 day mother discovers
not have enough flour
make dough second pie,
decides make half crust on top.
children disappointed.
" don't bake one, mama
don't how looks', grumble.
mother merely smiles.
next morning
children waken aroma
of cinnamon,sugar, , peeled peaches.
9 foolish children
scramble porch find
1 lonely pie
