Overheating 99 Mazda 626?


boyfriend 99 mazda 626 overheating , has no heat. had coolant leak , had fixed , flushed. still overheating. found leak today, , got fixed. put in new thermostat, hoping fixed didn't. coolant still seems leaking somewhere, doesn't seem big leak. still have find that. had friend @ car, said there white smoke coming out of exhaust , blown head gasket. i'm hoping it's not, cause don't feel changing it, don't have money pay it. else besides blown head gasket? maybe heater coil, or sensor? or if head gasket, of sealers work? or should go ahead , change it.
