What are the advantages/disadvantages of a pontoon boat compared to a traditional boat.?


married 2 boys, 5 , 7. live on nice harbor , want boat. have been looking traditional center cockpit boats (19-22ft) sea hunt, sea fox, key west, ect....

saw pontoon boat in harbor , looked pretty cool.

use zipping around harbor , rivers, spend few hours @ beach, cruise inter-coastal, swim, drop anchor , hang out, , maybe fishing, not much.

not going out ocean. no bad weather requirements.
