How to tell if my hermit crabs are males or females?

there 2 main reasons crab attack 1
1. there not enough shells provided , therefore 1 crab attacks other , litterally steals shell , loser's crab left other crabs shell. when fight neither typically harmed because after shell , not out kill other , can both benefit , better shell.
2. other reason cannibalism. yes if didn't know hermit crabs cannibals , eat own kind. because of molting smell after crab has freshly molted other times crab attack because of lack of protein. crabs omnivores , therefore need meat , vegetables etc. make sure giving them enough meat , protein otherwise can cause them attack.

1 true way of checking if crab interested in picking fight picking them , putting directly in front of other. if 1 sort of lunges @ other , large claw ready 'attack' can wanted attack it. before can damage life , place on other side of tank. if still fighting may want seperate them few days , put them in same tank , see how re-act them or spilt tank bit of glass , use other items around house food , water bowls
