IN Ww2, why Didn't the German navy have any Aircraft carriers?
aircraft carriers difficult build, particularly when you've never had 1 before. also, there other, far more important uses germany's resources, , aircraft carrier hadn't supplanted battleship 1936 (the absolute latest date carrier begun in order ready 1945).
germany did build aircraft carrier - graf zeppelin. however, wasn't quite finished - sail, didn't have aircraft , never used operationally. likely, have been killed combination of royal navy's carriers, or submarine (as german navy not flush escorts).
this have kept fighter planes in air longer, , give bombers full cover instead of having return base due being low on fuel, before bombers had reached targets.
