Which version of the Lord of the Rings Blu-ray box set should I buy?


i'm huge lotr fan, important me. basically, i'm having bit of dilemma. have blu-ray player so, naturally, first thing i'm going buy lord of rings trilogy on blu-ray. there 2 versions of blu-ray box set: theatrical version (which includes 6 disks in total), , extended edition (which includes 15 discs in total). i've heard, extended edition far superior original. problem extended version of fellowship of ring has strange green tinge it. know if case uk editions? , bothersome when watching it? i'm worried since it's favorite out of three, , it's film means lot me, need perfect. there way prevent green tinge, also? thanks.
