when ferdinand marcos became president.before became president,the philippines considered economic tiger in asia - second japan.that equivalent singapore , taiwan @ present.then when marcos elected president,the country deteriorated being economic tiger in 1960's developing country in 1970's , third world country 1980's present.marcos amassed more $10 billion in 20-year rule.unfortunately,when ousted in 1986,the philippines never recovered graft , corruption has become way of life filipinos.and add that,the filipinos lack sense of patriotism , love country complete opposite of japanese,who well-known sense of patriotism.credit laziness , lack of discipline country's people.
