Why don't Scientist believe in things they can't prove?


said i'm aware not scientist , mistake not being clear, asking question because seems lot of (again not all) known scientist stephen hawking , etc. don't believe in god , wondering why that? know not this, believe me i'm not generalizing scientist 1 guy said, curious why of people doesn't believe? there reason chooses not believe other fact can't prove it?

like god or life outside of earth? asking question i'm not saying "i" believe in stuff either i'm asking why don't they?
