Clarinet to... what instrument?

typically, "winds" (woodwinds) player expected play of saxes, clarinet, bass clarinet, , flute... , pretty seamlessly go between them.

if want stay woodwinds - next thing learn alto or tenor sax. else said - upper register pretty both upper , lower sax fingerings... , similar flute. sax embouchure clarinet - move clarinet sax makes lot of sense.

personally- started on winds - learned low brass marching. low brass lot of fun, , it's loud. it's totally, different woodwinds - nothing whatsoever translates, it's easy. playing fluently in couple of months. honest hardest thing learning read bass clef.

double reeds totally different animal. played little oboe , bassoon - enough horrible - , can tell learning play trombone easier transition oboe.

if playing piano ( lot of kids do) - might want try keyboard percussion - marimba, xylophone, vibes, etc. daughter did , had lot of fun it.
luck !

right play clarinet. want play instrument. should saxophone, flute, oboe, or percussion? best/easiest 1 do?
