Is it too late to start playing hockey?

im 14 years old , freshman in high school. every since saw high school hockey team play, have become interested in playing hockey. have absolutely no experience game, however, have attended 3 skating lessons see if wanted play. @ first lesson 3 weeks ago barely stand on skates, 3 weeks later can crossovers pretty efficiently. wondering if enough pace me play sophmore year. probelm ice rink near house offers free skate 2 days week isnt enough time on ice starting. think if skate 2 days week, take hockey clinics, , surround myself game play next year high school team.

things should know: 5 foot 3 , 120lbs idk if can handle physical nature of hockey. also, high school team has varsity team wants play makes it. worth it? think cousl play though have such short time learn. lot of friends play hockey , offered teach me aswell helps more. clear me wont outstanding player think @ least able compete of kids on varsity in year? try answer of question...thanks!!!!
