How do I get my legs to do a full split to the side?
first, find ledge waist(a window-sill used!) , hold onto left hand. then, raise right foot. hold on arch of foot coming inside leg. make sure have tight hold of foot! pull leg upward keeping both legs straight. left leg , continue until knee touching ear. might take anywhere between 1-4mths depending on age , how flexible when first start off. remember: stretch when warmed because if when you're cold, pull ligaments or tendons in legs. stretch after fast walk or if raining, jog on spot! why spend money on stretching machines when can use muscles! hope information able splits. try having light cardio 4-5 minutes. go light, easy stretches such touching toes (or going close can) ten times while breathing deeply. separate legs little take deep breath, touch floor (or close can without pain), exhale. repeat 5 times. sit on floor legs , touch toes once more doing breathing technique aforementioned. repeat 5 times. separate legs , reach left leg, the floor in front of other leg. after warming legs, begin kneeling lunges. go far can, stop, take deep breath , slow flex , relax muscle. reverse lunge (as performed in video i'll link to). repeat kneeling lunges. should last around 5 minutes. put foot against couch or chair (know lunge leg against wall/box on site i'm going link to). repeat 3 times resting between each one. go split far can without pain (you should feel tension and/or slight pain or slight discomfort). pull up, relax thirty seconds, stand , shake legs, , repeat lunges around minute, split , hold thirty seconds once more. repeat other leg. may feel numbness during stretching means doing exercises properly. also, next morning may have slight soreness. because body isn't used stretch will. if happens don't stretch intensely. stretch. warm-up , cool-down (the first paragraph warm up, second front splits, third side splits, , fourth cool down). if continue feel discomfort after exercising means doing wrong, fast/to hard body, or warm-up/cool-down isn't long enough. relax day, , start anew longer warm-up, less intense stretching, , longer cool down.
