Can schools legally search a cars locked glove box?

week ago, pulled schools administrative office on account distributing 'acid' @ school. however, not. searched bag , locker , found nothing. went search car (there no 'acid' in there either - being accused of supplying , there never found on me or in of belongings). car parked in school parking lot. however, in car locked in glove box, kept marijuana (yes know stupid... nevertheless there). knew allowed search car under impression locked glove box protected search , seizure. go car, unlock glove box, find marijuana, , end getting arrested misdemeanor possession of less 1oz of marijuana.

not extremely concerned charge , ensues, concerned having charge on record.

more information:
-i 18 years old , senior in high school.
-i never gave them expressed permission search car. not think need though.
-the box locked , used ignition key open it.
-there no other drugs/illegal items in car.
-the administrators gave marijuana sro (school resource officer) in turn filed warrant arrest.

tl;dr: legal search , seizure? can argue in court in order prevent charge staying on record? information helpful.

note: looking feedback. know should not have had marijuana , know illegal. posting saying did wrong immature , useless. looking help, not lesson.
