Employer not allowing sick days- Legal?


number 1 reason terminations in not economy attendance issues, has been last 30 years , has gotten worse in last 20..... lay-offs due downsizing not come close number of employees fired because not show work scheduled...

employer in ca required excuse absence covered fmla or cfra, or covered reasonable accommodation due coverage under ada....
employer doing legal, , depending on past history, type of business etcetera may prudent well.




no state not ct requires employers excuse absenteeism other fmla or similar state program...
ct have requirement paid sick leave earned/accrued during year see: http://www.ctdol.state.ct.us/wgwkstnd/12...
may still count days missed though paid in relation policy attendance discipline......

is legal employer not allow sick days? husband's new job telling him if have sick day terminated. think legally every body entitled few sick days. state california
