How much would it cost for a good agent?

@harbinger got right. no legitimate agent going sign amateur 14-yr old. casting directors depend on these agencies find them professional experienced people productions, , no casting director i've ever known going hire complete amateurs productions "sopranos" used relatively unknown new jersey actors/actresses found people tons of local/regional experience.

never "hire" agent wants money up-front - anything, photography. not how business works. when known enough agent interested in , pay photos, etc. need, , happy it.

business - need @ age start going known "open casting calls" commercials, community plays, church plays, etc. , can audition without agent. game shows. local productions , commercials looking save money , not going hire agencies bring them talent - don't need that. have open auditions. it's not easy - there may 100s of people auditioning same role, that's how started , noticed.

once you've done dozen local plays , tv commercials - start have enough on resume find decent talent agency. take 5 50% of earnings (depending on is, is, , , are) cares because without them not have access best productions. it's in best interests work, , if you're bend on backwards find paying jobs. hope helps.
