Beginner guitar choice, as in what should I choose?

started playing acoustic guitar 2 months ago. played guitar awhile ago when 14 (for year), didn't enjoy it. asked family member if wanted learn how play again, b/c wanted experience teaching lessons, , accepted. has been going , enjoying it, part.

1 issue current guitar(which borrowed someone) is not comfortable. body quite large(thick) me, , feels cumbersome when being held. difficult me wrap arm around body of guitar without causing neck of guitar move outward body. have short fingers (am female), don't know if issue poor technique well. guy teaching knows music , theory, not date on technique , posture. not best teacher out there, better learning totally on own.things doesn't know researching on own success(but limited).

anyway... looking @ guitars , came across big baby taylor. liked way felt in hands, more comfortable. liked way martin 000x1ae felt well, although not comfortable taylor. upon researching saw taylor not full sized guitar(but close). there disadvantage playing smaller guitar? don't want able play smaller guitar or feel uncomfortable on regular sized guitar. want able play on regular sized guitar well, asking is, transition regular sized guitar after playing smaller 1 difficult? there difference @ all?

also, there other guitars looks @ may worth trying? think defiantly need smaller body thickness. price range looking @ $400 - $600. not interested in brand or look, comfortable , quality.

also, playing fun. do. however, want start on comfortable guitar, leave room trade better should enjoy playing. don't want limit myself smaller guitars b/c started on smaller one.
