Why is plastic now used for water pipes instead of copper?

copper getting expensive. pennies no longer made of copper because copper costs more penny. in fact big high-voltage wires carry electrical power city city, power companies pulling wire down , replacing copper aluminum. aluminum wires have bigger around, difference between price of copper , aluminum big companies sell copper , still have profit after paying aluminum wires , work involved.

plastic cleaner because doesn't oxidize. lasts longer , more reliable on time. it's lighter can carry more on truck. glues don't have solder it, it's safer work with. it's not easier install repair if that's ever necessary. , it's lot cheaper. why still use copper?
