Can I teach myself how to play the guitar??? 10 PTS!!!!?


okay im sophmore single mother can't afford lessons. tried cheap local music class in area teacher unprofessional. he's works @ church taught me chords , didnt teach me how read music or got down details. basics. can't find other places because, again costs alot of money , have no transportation. got book called guitar dummies 2nd edition (best seller) , comes cd. when opened it, detailed , showed me things teacher didn't show me. goes deep alot of things , started reading it. teaches how read tab , music notes. it's structured detailed, , goes deep every subject don't know if it's possible. alot of people can teacher requires cash. think it's possible? i'm worried , don't want dedicate myself nothing :(
