Can it snow in a desert?


used live in sonoran desert, covers parts of california, arizona , state of sonora in mexico. snow there time time. in fact, had white out in tucson, az on easter 2000 or 2001. brief , didn't accumulate, did snow.
mountain ranges surrounding tucson (rincons, santa ritas, tuscons, catalinas , tortolitas) gather bit of white @ peaks. went hike in catalinas on mt lemmon, reaches 9,157 ft above sea level. april there snow deep waist high trail markers protruding thru snow, hovering inch or above powder.
snows in mojave desert, lies north of sonoran, , covers parts of california, utah, nevada , arizona. mojave desert can called high desert, sonoran desert referred low desert.

rajasthan have received 4 inches of snow today, desert, sand area. possible? thanks.
