What is country music? (help please)?


ignore first idiotic , childish response. problem here there no set definition specific genre because it's difficult quantify subjective experience. it's more of "i know when hear it" kind of situation. has to instrumentation, musical arrangements, , subject matter.

instrumentation: country band typically has lead electric guitar, 1 or more acoustic rhythm guitars, bass, , optionally fiddle , pedal steel guitar.

arrangements: country music arranged "twangy" sound*. lead vocals sung southern accent.

subject matter: country music deals love, loss of love, trucks, dogs, mama, jobs, , other day-to-day aspects of life.
