Are the opinions of old people relevant?


wish, oh how wish 21 again , knew everything! life easier.

older more realise how more there learn , experience.

but, young folk, don't confuse age experience. older person may have wealth of knowledge , life's experience can still learn young. 2 way street.

taught kids cook, how become independent, how cross road safely. how drive. taught me how use computer, how become more patient , how fold fitted sheets.

@ lucky... don't rile against oldies.... there many young not take advantage of knowledge , wisdom there listening.

Peugeot 106 door stuck open?

agree other contributors door stay/check arm not going in properly. however, having replaced 1 on 106 last tuesday, understand how work. if can contort in door stay goes in door, stay should flat , pass between 2 upright cylindrical rollers. should not able see end of stay, supposed hook behind 1 of rollers inside door itself. if rollers aren't upright, need new door stay assembly (about £25 peugeot). if stay no longer hooked behind rollers, rollers ok, may able put end of stay through. bit fiddly (i had when fitting new 1 car), 1 of rollers spring-loaded , has levered (you can manage shortish flat screwdriver , 3 skinned knuckles!) allow hooked tip of door stay pass through. not recommend "heavy friend" leaning on door, bend stay, or damage door. if end replacing stay assembly, have remove door inner trim panel @ roller bit. can give advice on fitting new 1 if needed, have typist's cramp @ moment(!), post again if need more help. luck. the door opened wide ,...
